DEL.ICIO.US & TAGGING...OR FINALLY FINISHED!

Tagging is a useful tool and I found del.icio.us to be helpful in that you can find a tag and see what other users have bookmarked. I watched the Santa Cruz PL video tutorial (after reading about it on Tatiana's blog) and agree that the main advantage for using del.icio.us is that topics have been filthered by the public. I would probably use the Library Thing tagging system more because it is easier for me to use and there's no need to install buttons on my browser. I did find it interesting to go into some of the posted tags. I think this could be a good tool for my teens when doing research for papers, etc.
Thanks Terzah for creating this opportunity to explore the future trends of libraries, I appreciate all your help, esp. Sue Ellen's in getting through this whole list!
When's the party??

LIBRARY THAAAAANG!

I went into Library Thing and added my top 5 favorite books and another one that I'm reading now, I tagged them "FAVFIC". I don't know if I would use this alot as I keep track of all the books I read already but it would be fun to use if I were in a book club and I will definitely share it with some of my more vigorous reader type friends.
Terzah you can ck my account using Boulderlibrarygirl and Boulder for the password....almost done with 2.0 only one more to go!!

Overdrive

I think that it is great to have downloadable audio available to the public. Of course I had to download "West Side Story" #40 and it played on my computer at home while I cleaned my kitchen (floors, fridge and all). I wish that there was some more alternative music available. While I enjoy classical, chamber and choral, I wish there was a bit of a broader mix (Rock, Folk, Americana, Alternative...you get the idea!
